Kakobuy warehouse photos: what the free check covers and the three looks we use
QC means quality check. At Kakobuy it means a free look at the outside of your item, photographed, before you decide to ship it.
The scope sentence in Kakobuy's inspection rules
Kakobuy's help article on inspection rules opens with a single sentence of scope: it arranges inspection for the product's appearance, meaning model, style and size. The rest of the article narrows it. Garments, bags, suitcases and shoes are opened; anything in a sealed pack or behind a sealing strip is not, and only its outside is checked. Household appliances, digital products and other electronics are not checked for authenticity, function or quality.
Kakobuy does not charge for the inspection, or for consolidation. What Kakobuy does not publish is how many photos the free set contains, so plan on the standard set being a few overall shots and ask for anything specific.

Where the photos appear and how to ask for more
Photos sit in your warehouse list beside each stored item, under QC Picture. The same list has an Extra photo column, which is where paid requests show up. Kakobuy's personalised photograph service costs ¥2 per photo and promises delivery within 24 hours. Be precise: one request per photo, named by the part of the item ("size tag inside the collar", "left shoe, side profile at eye level").
Separately, when you submit the parcel you can tick a parcel photo service: three photos of the packed parcel before it leaves, free. It does not replace item photos, but it does show whether the shoe box went in or whether the puffer was vacuum-packed as asked.

Reading warehouse photos against three looks per shelf
Reading QC photos is mostly comparing. Put the warehouse photo next to the cover, and next to the seller's size chart, and look for three things the shelf is known for. Every leaf on this index lists them at the top of each shelf; the card below puts all sixteen shelves in one place.
- Shape and fit: the side profile of a shoe, the measured chest of a hoodie, the length of a dress. Ask for a tape measure in the photo.
- The detail the listing sells: the print, the embroidery, the buckle, the bezel. Close-ups only.
- The option you paid for: colour, buckle finish, model number in a family listing. Option names and cover photos often disagree.
Shoppers shorten the verdict to GL (green light, keep it) or RL (red light, return or exchange it). If you are unsure, the honest answer is a third one: ask for one more photo.

What a warehouse photo cannot settle
A photo shows shape, colour, stitching and print. It cannot show whether a controller pairs, whether a smartwatch charges, how a fragrance smells, how heavy a fleece feels or whether a logo is licensed. For electronics, Kakobuy says so in writing.
Authenticity is the sharpest of these. Kakobuy's anti-counterfeiting policy puts the responsibility on the buyer to buy only authentic products, and says it may refuse orders, withhold funds and dispose of goods otherwise. Many covers on the catalogue shelves lean on famous names. A warehouse photo will not tell you whether the listing is allowed; reading the policy will.

Returns and exchanges: a clock that starts at stocked in
The 5-Day Return/Exchange Guarantee lets you ask for a return or exchange within 120 hours of the status turning to stocked in. It is a seller's service on the Chinese platforms that Kakobuy relays, so the seller has the final say. Some goods never qualify: underwear, food, books, adult products, used goods, goods bought outside mainland China, newspapers and periodicals, anything with its tags cut off, made-to-order pieces, and special-standards products once opened.
Costs depend on whose fault it was. You pay nothing when the seller sent the wrong thing, when the warehouse spots an obvious defect at stocking in, or when the courier damaged it. An unconditional return costs the shipping both ways and a service fee that climbs with the number of returns in the same calendar month: free for the first, then ¥5 per return or ¥10 per exchange from the second to the fifth, ¥10 or ¥20 from the sixth to the ninth, and ¥20 or ¥40 beyond ten.
One pick on the small-goods leaf is custom-made, so this window does not apply to it.
