Kakobuy, the agent behind this index, and the trade-offs that come with it
What the company says about itself, what it does on every order, and where its terms suit you or do not.
What Kakobuy is and who stands behind it
A shopping agent acts on your behalf in a market you cannot easily buy from. Kakobuy's own About page lists the jobs it takes on for buyers outside China: buying, forwarding, checking quality, clearing customs, declaring tax and looking after problems afterwards, with outside carriers flying the parcels.
The company names it prints are worth knowing. Its About and Contact pages both print EVERYDAY GO INC, whose listed street address sits in Denver. The Contact page also names ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD with UK company number 16947583 and an address in Beckenham. Everyday Go Co., Limited is the publisher named on the iOS app. The warehouse is in Xiamen, which Kakobuy states in three help articles about seller dispatch and international transit; the full street address appears only inside an account.
Kakobuy's own pages give different starting dates, from the help centre's oldest articles to the footer's copyright line, so we do not print a founding year. The site runs in 16 languages and 12 currencies, with an iOS app and an Android download offered directly from the site.

Four jobs it does on every order
Kakobuy's home page sums up its work in four panels, and they line up with the guide on this site. Purchase orders: a buyer places the order with the Chinese seller. Ship to warehouse: the seller sends it to Kakobuy in Xiamen. Quality check: staff photograph and check the outside. Global shipping: you choose a line and it goes abroad.
What sits between those panels is where agents differ: how fast the buyer acts, how long goods can wait, which lines exist to your country, and who you can talk to when a parcel stalls. Kakobuy's answers are on the guide and the costs page.

Why Kakobuy suits these picks, and where its terms fall short
What every agent does the same. Buy, receive, photograph, ship. Any agent will do that for a Weidian listing, and none of them can make a seller send the right colour.
Where Kakobuy differs. No service fee on purchases, with the margin in the exchange rate instead. 100 free storage days, which is long enough to wait for a second order. A relayed five-day return window, a flat €3 per parcel for the EU category duty, US tax-free routes, and buyers who work seven days a week for Weidian and Taobao orders.
When to use another agent. If you compare total landed cost and another agent's exchange rate plus fee comes out lower for your basket, use it. If you need a person at weekends or in the evening by UK clocks, Kakobuy's live chat is closed then. If most of what you buy comes from stores outside the ones Kakobuy reads automatically, its Fill & Buy terms (no after-sales, no cancellation after payment) may not suit you. And if a pick needs a line Kakobuy does not run to your country, the cheapest agent is the one that does.

Checks that separate a careful agent from a careless one
Here is how to judge an agent before it holds your money: five checks that say more than any review. Does it print the legal entities and addresses behind the site? Kakobuy prints two companies and their addresses. Are its policies written down with enough detail to hold it to, such as storage days, return windows and fee lists? Kakobuy's help centre has those, with some inconsistencies we point out where they matter. Can you reach a person, and when? Kakobuy lists live chat hours, an email address and a Discord server. Does money go back the way it came? Kakobuy sends top-up refunds back where the money came from, less handling. And is there a public community where problems are visible, not just a review widget? Kakobuy has a subreddit and a Discord.
Treat any agent that cannot answer those as a risk, however good its coupons look. And keep the first order small: one cheap pick, shipped alone, tells you more about an agent than a week of reading.

Kakobuy's neighbours: the other agents shoppers compare it with
Most buyers who use Kakobuy have also looked at other shopping agents, and the Spreadsheet world mentions a handful again and again: Superbuy, CSSBuy, Sugargoo, ACBuy, CNFans, Mulebuy and Oopbuy among them. They all do the same four jobs. Where they differ is the same list as above: how they charge, how long storage lasts, which lines reach your country, and when support answers.
The fairest comparison is a real basket: the same two or three picks, priced to your door on each agent's own estimator on the same day, with the exchange rate included. Fee tables alone flatter agents that charge no fee and price their currency higher.
